In 2007 Filser Electronic GmbH was taken over by the Funkwerk Group and later-on renamed into Funkwerk Avionics GmbH. As a next step, the aerospace business unit of Euro Telematik AG, another company within the Funkwerk Group, was integrated into Funkwerk Avionics in early 2008.
As a result of the continuing integration process, Michael Frost, the former owner and General Manager of Filser Electronic GmbH, has decided to resign his position as General Manager of Funkwerk Avionics on the 1st of January 2010.
The company, therefore, will be run by Dr. Thomas Wittig, who was leading the company up to now together with Michael Frost and who was responsible as member of the executive board for the aerospace business of Euro Telematik from 2001 to 2007.
Michael Frost, however, will stay with the company and will be responsible from now on for the avionics sales. He will fully concentrate on the challenges of this market and will remain as competent focal point for all our customers, distributors and partners. (Press Release 05/2009)
