Buchloe/Landsberg, April 2013 Funkwerk Avionics acquires airborne transceivers from Dittel Messtechnik With effect from 1st of May 2013 Funkwerk Avionics GmbH, in Buchloe/Germany, has acquired the rights to produce and market the airborne transceivers FSG90 and FSG2/ from Dittel Messtechnik GmbH, in Landsberg/Germany, by means of an asset deal. The airborne transceivers FSG90 and FSG2T are in world-wide operation for decades with an excellent reputation for high equipment reliability, long working life cycle and very robust equipment design. The FSG90 transceiver fulfills the requirements of the implementing regulation of the European Commission of 16 November 2012 with respect to the 8,33 kHz channel spacing, and can be used also in its corresponding base transceiver configuration. Dittel Messtechnik GmbH, founded in 1959, started its activities in the field of Airborne Transceivers and Power Electronics. Over the years it differentiated its product portfolio making the measuring technology division its core business. In 2012 Dittel Messtechnik GmbH has been acquired by the Marposs Group. In order to concentrate itself on its core activities as a result of a strategic decision from the new shareholders, Dittel Messtechnik GmbH has decided to part from these products.
Funkwerk Avionics today is a market leader in Europe in terms of sales of aircraft radio equipment and mode S transponders for the application in General Aviation. With the acquisition of the aircraft radio equipment FSG90 and FSG2T the company expands its product portfolio in terms of new market segments and an expansion of business outside Europe. "We are delighted with the acquisition of Dittel aeronautical radio equipment to be able to continue the successful global commercialization of these universally recognised devices in the interest of numerous existing customers. The acquisition complements our radio product line and will lead to new global business", Funkwerk Avionics' CEO Dr. Thomas Wittig concludes. (press release for download)

Buchloe, April 2013 AERO 2013 in Friedrichshafen: we look forward to meeting you in Hall B1 / Stand 100 Same procedure as every year: we are happy to welcome you in Friedrichshafen from April 24 to 27 in Hall B1 / Stand 100! Of course, the main focus of this years' exhibition will be on the European 8,33 kHz channel spacing transceiver mandate, which was announced in November 2012. We are happy to advise you about impacts and implementing possibilities. Being the first European supplier for 8,33 kHz capable transceivers, we today have large experience from the operational use of several thousands of units sold and installed in the meantime. Starting with the cost effective ATR833 LCD (with best sunlight readability), the OLED-display version ATR833 OLED as well as the ATR833A OLED in the 160mm ARINC housing we have the ideal solution for all areas of operation. And: all transceivers can be fully operated by use of the ATR833RT remote control. In addition we now complete as well our Mode S transponder product family, well placed on the market since many, many years: as a new product we present the TRT800H LCD as a cost efficient entry model. Sales will be continued for the two models with OLED display, the TRT800H OLED as well as the TRT800A OLED in the 160mm ARINC housing. All Mode S transponders can as well fully be operated by use of the TRT800RT remote control.
Finally, our traffic monitor TM250 as well as our basic flight instrument BFI57 enjoy increasing popularity and have been further optimised! We look forward to meeting you - as usual we can offer special conditions during the exhibition!

Waal, January 2013 Happy New Year 2013! We would like to take the opportunity to thank all our customers and business partners for the good co-operation and your confidence in the past year 2012. We wish you all the best and much success in 2013! Our new price list is valid. Once again we managed to keep our prices stable. Already today we are happy to announce that our Mode S Transponder TRT800H will be available either with OLED or LCD display in spring 2013. Since November 2012 the Implementing Regulation for 8,33 kHz radios in Europe has been published. While all current 25 kHz radios (i.e. our ATR500) can still be used for VFR operations until the end of 2017, our ATR833A transceiver in the 160mm housing is the ideal retrofit solution for aircraft to be operated under IFR after 01.01.2014. AND: In March 2013 we will move into our new company building in the city of Buchloe, just a few minutes away from the motorway A96 (Munich - Memmingen). For further information please make use of our customer service area on our homepage. As usual we would be happy to meet you in person at the AERO 2013 in Friedrichshafen in April 2013 - and in the same month we will exhibit at Sun'n Fun in Lakeland / Florida!
