Our Mode-S Transponder product family TRT800 is well placed on the market for General Aviation. The new  Mode-S standard (mandated in Germany since 01.04.2008 for all aircraft flying above 5000 ft sea level or at more than 3500 ft height above terrain) covers further information besides the ICAO-Code and offers the possibility to broadcast as well GPS based position data.

Several thousands of TRT800 transponders have been installed in General Aviation aircraft in Europe in the meantime.

The TRT800H OLED is a standard transponder for all applications in general aviation from ultralight aircraft to gliders and piston engine aircraft. It offers the classical A/C modes of operation plus full Mode-S support including the future-oriented extended squitter function.

The TRT800A OLED offers the standard 161mm housing which is ideally suited for the easy replacement of existing transponders like the Kt76 or similar. It offers the classical A/C modes of operation plus full Mode-S support including the future-oriented extended squitter function.

Its advantages are an attractive price, small dimensions and a built-in altitude encoder without heating requirements. These features help to reduce installation effort, cost and weight. The unit provides the required 25ft altitude resolution.

The TRT800H/TRT800A may be used up to 35,000ft actual operating altitude (not to be confused with maximum operating altitude) and a maximum true airspeed of 250kt (463km/h).
